Raspberry Pi & Minecraft

Hey, welcome to the best but most complicated activity - you are about to build a working computer to play Minecraft on it. The Raspberry Pi is a $35 computer that is small but powerful. It uses a Micro SD card as the hard drive. It is a bit tricky though, so you're going to need to follow these steps.

1) BE CAREFUL AND STAY SAFE! Don't mess around with power strips. If you're at all unsure, call me over please.

2) You need the following items: Raspberry Pi computer and power supply, screen with power supply, HDMI cable, keyboard and mouse.

3) Put it all together! First connect the mouse and keyboard to the Raspberry Pi USB ports.

4) Now connect the HDMI cable to the Raspberry Pi and the screen.

5) Now add the power supplies - first the screen, and then the Raspberry Pi. The Pi doesn't have a power switch - once the power is plugged in, it turns on, which is why I would do this one last.

6) The Pi should boot up, and you'll see the desktop appear on the screen after a minute or so. Click on the Raspberry icon in the top left corner, and go to games - you can play Minecraft or one of the other games on there.

When you're done, please shut down the Raspberry Pi through the Raspberry menu, then disconnect everything.

Here is the Raspberry Pi website.
